DS3 and I have plenty to talk about together when we *read* these books.

After renewing from the library for months, we bought this book, and still are enjoying it some 6+ months later.
Rainstorm: Barbara Lehman: 9780618756391: Amazon.com: Books (http://www.amazon.com/Rainstorm-Barbara-Lehman/dp/0618756396/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1456681064&sr=1-1&keywords=rainstorm)
A boy is bored in his house, finds a secret passage to an island where he has friends to play with.

And Mr Wuffles
Mr. Wuffles! (Caldecott Medal - Honors Winning Title(s)): David Wiesner: 2015618756612: Amazon.com: Books (http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Wuffles-Caldecott-Medal-Winning/dp/0618756612/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1456681292&sr=1-1&keywords=mr+wuffles)
Aliens crash land in feline MrWuffles house, and try to escape before MrWuffles plays with them too much.

Does anyone else have favorites?

Anything by David Wiesner. DS still loves these (and I really enjoy them, too). Flotsam is great, and Tuesday.

I love these! In fact I need to have one of the kids round them so I can put them on my bookshelf :)

When the kids were little, their favorites were all the Jack books by Pat Schories - especially Jack and the Night Visitors.

My favorite is what may be the very first wordless picture book - I love A Boy, a Frog, and a Dog by Mercer Mayer. It's a classic.

Runners up for me are The Red Book and Sector 7.

Not quite wordless (says "mama" throughout), but one of my favorites.
MAMA: a TRUE story, in which a BABY HIPPO loses his MAMA during a TSUNAMI, but finds a new home, and a new MAMA: Jeanette Winter: 9780152054953: Amazon.com: Books (http://www.amazon.com/MAMA-story-which-during-TSUNAMI/dp/0152054952/ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1456713698&sr=1-79)

A Boy, A Dog and a Frog. Series of about 4. Marice Sendak, I believe. Great books for kids to "read" to mom and dad.

Blackboard Bear -- a series -- isn't entirely wordless, but a few of the books have minimal words. I liked to let my son narrate them.

Tuesday and Flotsam, mentioned above, are brilliant. Tuesday is probably one of my favorite books, still.
