I was poking around the Oak Meadow high school site this a.m. over my coffee and oatmeal, and I found that they have some interesting opportunities for high schoolers, like Study Abroad. So it got me thinking we should trade some information here about alternative schools, summer programs, classes, etc.

Here's what I was ogling this a.m.:
Signature Programs (Oak Meadow) (http://oakmeadow.com/what-we-do/high-school/signature-programs/)
Marlboro College's summer programs for high schoolers (https://www.marlboro.edu/admissions/teens/summer)

I am sure other colleges offer programs for high schoolers. I did a two-week study at Northwestern U. and a one-week study at Notre Dame when I was between junior and senior year of high school...can we make a list of colleges that do this? My experience was way over 30 years ago so isn't necessarily relevant.

Also, this school has popped up on my radar: Conserve School. (http://www.conserveschool.org/RelId/33637/ISvars/default/Home.htm) It's a semester-based environmental studies school. Free, too. It's totally up my daughter's alley...

Thanks Fastweedpuller,
I'm saving the info for the Conserve school. I think it would be a great experience for my children when they are juniors.
