Just a note that we're busy updating our list and map of secular homeschool support groups (http://www.secularhomeschool.com/content/203-secular-homeschool-support-groups-state/) at the moment. If you know of any groups that should be added, could you comment on this thread or use our contact form to let us know?

I live between Aiken and Columbia, SC. Two yahoo group pages for places near me are broken links. Something I don't see on the map is a group called REACH.

REACH Group | Resources, Encouragement & Activities for Columbia Homeschoolers (http://reachgroup.org/)

For me, it looks pretty good. It appears inclusive rather than overtly secular (which I prefer not overtly secular nor overtly religious). I don't know, I plan to meet with some of its organizers over the summer and if that works out well I plan to join them for the Fall. I'll try to remember to report back so it can be included on the map if it seems legit.

We'll definitely get it added. THANK YOU!

Not yet, but we're currently in the beginning stages of getting one started in South Mississippi. :D

I will! In the meantime, there is an Inclusive facebook group for the Mississippi Gulf Coast here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/MSGulfCoastInclusiveHomeschool/

It's a very polite group of folks and is mostly a group for just asking questions and trying to get our homeschooled kids together with other homeschooled kids now and then. The more active folks there have just recently begun gathering at a local park or at the movies just to let the kids hang out together.

It is within this group that some of us are coming together to create a secular group. So, if anyone is interested, they should join that facebook group. :)
