My 13yo son is learning a great deal from playing Minecraft.

A major difficulty though is finding other kids who play and are from respectful families. If anyone has family members who play and Skype at the same time but do not swear all the time during play, I would love to be able to connect, play and learn together in a fun/respectful way.

Kind regards,

Can you define swear? DS11 likes to play but he says things like, "oh my god!" a lot. Does this count, or are you more concerned about cussing? Either response is totally reasonable. Just wanted to check before I raised my hand. ;)

We might be able to work something out. My 13 year and 10 year olds are big Minecraft fans! :)

I've got a 12 year old who is starting homeschooling again this year after a year of attempting public school.. We're new to our area so finding other kids with similar hobbies would be great! He plays Minecraft all the time.. I look forward to getting to know all of you myself! :) :) My email is [email protected]

My 11 year old loves to minecraft and skype. He has always been a reluctant reader and refused to write. With minecraft he is now doing both. Let me know if you want his info. I will ask him if it is alright to share it.

My 11 year old daughter loves Minecraft and is an administrator on a server for kids: Intercraften (http://www.intercraften.org/index.php/2013-05-12-20-30-29/why) (which is looking for a new host). She also plays on my friend's server. We can exchange details through IM if you like. :)
