We're train tripping up to Seattle with a few days in Victoria, then maybe Vancouver in late September. What's on your must-visit list for that part of the world with a 5.5yo?

Seattle - Pike Place Market. Also, not too far away, the Seattle Aquarium. Take a ferry ride and explore the islands off of Seattle.

In Victoria:
Fisherman's Wharf in James Bay. Small oceanside park, fish and chips at Barb's place on the dock, feed the seals in front of Barb's (you can buy fish scraps at the fish counter next door) and take a tour or just go downtown and back on one of the cute Harbour ferries (Victoria Harbour Ferry & Water Taxi - Tours & Charters, Victoria BC (http://www.victoriaharbourferry.com/)). At that age my son also enjoyed Undersea Gardens (Fun for Kids & Family - Pacific Undersea Gardens, Victoria, BC (http://www.pacificunderseagardens.com/)).

And if you are looking for a family restaurant in Victoria or Vancouver, White Spot is a favourite for young kids for their Pirate Paks (Kids Pirate Pak | Family Restaurants | White Spot (http://www.whitespot.ca/menu/bc/pirate-paks-kids)).
