View Full Version : Algebra I & II together?

Adam actually wants to do a different math program... yes, the one thing I thought I had figured out. I understand his reasoning though. In any case, now I'm searching for Algebra curriculum. After reading several threads in the Middle/High School section, the post that talked briefly about a live class on currclick.com caught my eye. I almost feel like Adam would like this. Before I show it to him, I wanted to ask if anyone else had any experience with the following instructor/class:

Algebra I (Night) - Super Genius Math | CurrClick (http://www.currclick.com/product/79455/Algebra-I-%28Night%29?filters=10700_22200_25000_0_0_0_0_0)

Great, I just asked him and he said he would not like that sort of class with a live teacher. Back to the drawing board...

Yeah, I'm curious too. What do you want to do? And why does it need to be Alg. I and II together?

I might have been the person who mentioned the live algebra class at Currclick. The instructor of that class has actually left Currclick to form her own consortium (Mathematics - A WebsiteBuilder Website (http://www.petersonconsortium.org/2.html)), charging quite a bit more for the class. We're planning to try video taped lectures from Math Without Borders (http://www.mathwithoutborders.com) in combination with the Algebra and Trigonometry book by Paul Foerster. The Foerster book has gotten good ratings for being clear and well-written and I like what I saw of the sample lectures. He (David Chandler) offers Algebra I, Alegra II plus Trig, Geometry and Pre-Calc. There's also a Yahoo forum for people using the curriculum.
