I picked "other". We pretty much slack-school year round.

"Other" We are still technically about 3/4 of the way through our school year. We school year round without any beginning or end. We move on to the next thing or switch things up completely when needed. When we have to get "official" about anything, our school year begins in January and ends just before Thanksgiving. We still learn and do stuff at the end of the year, I just stop documenting what is going on and take that time to research new ideas and concentrate on other things. Our path through homeschooling has morphed so much through the years. Especially the way we move through our school/life year. Learning dynamics are very different with 7 kids (2 to 17) vs. in the beginning with just a 5 and 3 year old.
Learning, Living, and Loving Life outside of the norm with 7 kids.

We are doing homeschool light over the summer - Journaling, reading, a week of Jr Ranger camp, kids art week, science museum trips - that sort of stuff. It has been good. I am in no hurry to get back to a more structured routine!

    Year round baby!!!

We start January 1 with the school calendar. But start classes later .. They get 12 weeks of vacation a year taken in three week intervals each quarter.

We do year around and different subjects start at different times. We start pre-algebra a few months ago for my oldest. Just finishing up a Civics Unit and will follow it with our first attempts at Build Your Library, starting with level 6. My little guy is almost through his curriculum and we plan to start a Native American Unit in a couple weeks once all the books arrive. We travel a lot and at odd times so this works for us and we take breaks as we need to.

No. Our school year starts next Monday (8/6). We school from the first week of August through the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. We're taking 4-6 weeks of vacation over the school year.
Like another poster said upthread, I'm still at it. I don't think it ever ends with researching curriculum, ordering, planning, laying in supplies, looking over materials as they arrive, etc.

I co-teach a college course once a year and it runs late August - mid September so we will be starting after I'm done. Since it's our first year of homeschooling I'm really excited to begin but happy to have the flexibility to be able to wait!

Starting up on August 20th once we get back from a family camping trip.
