Dogwood Elementary I've only used it on a form to get either Legos or that History Channel DVD(something like that). I don't really use it often anyway. It's not even our street name it's the name of the road my grandmother lived on, and I also really like the trees.

Ours is Athena Academy, for the Greek goddess of wisdom. Our motto isn't related, and I have a son - not a daughter (LOL) - but it is, "Alice, would you kindly pay attention to your lesson?" (adaped from the animated version of Disney's "Alice in Wonderland").

We never had one until my four year old said she wanted to go to a "real" school, so I told her she did go to a real school: Mommy's Awesome School of Fun & Learning. It's stuck, but we'll shorten to MASoFaL when the girls get too old to call me Mommy *sniff sniff*.

The name of our school is the same as the name for my business. I let the kids chose the names, the school motto, and our school mascot.

Henry Ford had a great idea when he came up with the assembly line, but it was never meant to be applied to education.

Our first school name came from our subdivision in Texas: Elk Hollow. We called it Elk Hollow Academy, but now that we live in Florida my dd wanted to change it to something beachy so we came up with Seaside Academy (even though we don't live by the water). Our mascot changed from an elk to a dolphin. I still think of our school as Elk Hollow, though, because I just loved Fort Worth and I loved our house and our subdivision and I guess it's my way of holding on to a very happy memory.

Our homeschool name is Texas Tornado & Tag-A-Long. Quince named it..... when we were reading about tornados last year he said, " Geez Mom, that sounds like me." And it stuck. I have one wild child, and one quiet little mouse.

I am not pushing my children! They are pulling me along, kicking and screaming all the way.
