LOLOLOL Rush Limbaugh? No, my inbox hasnt received such a blessing. I dont know whether itd make me laugh or cry, though. It would make as much sense as anything in this country, anymore.
Visiting Chicago sounds like fun, and ohhhh I can only imagine what 30 feels like.

(Nothing much exciting going on here.... just enjoying the clouds.)

Glad you guys keep getting rain in the West, we are just too hot, but luckily fall weather is coming on Thursday. Might need winter coats in Chicago as the lows will be in the 30s.
Not sure how close you are to get into Chicago regularly, but one of the best things we did when homeschooling was get a year's membership to the Art Institute, and in a different year, a year's membership to the Field Museum. There is SO MUCH at the Art Institute that even if you are there an entire day, you won't see it all. From where we are in NW Indiana, we would take a train into the city, spend 4-5 hours at the Art Institute, then head back home. We'd go about once a month.

Check out the Chicago Cultural Center if you have time--its about 3-4 blocks north of the Art Institute. The architecture is stunning. It's now a free public place. Climb the stairs to the Tiffany Dome. Absolutely beautiful. It was originally a public library--it's a very cool place. There are also art displays and sometimes music during lunch. We'd pack a lunch and eat there and listen in.

Carol, unfortunately we don't live close enough to Chicago for a day trip. We have great museums in St. Louis too, but Chicago's are a bit better. We always belong to a ASTC museum so we can go to the Field museum for free. DD loves the Field Museum. I went to Northwestern and spent so much time in all of the museums. I even took a class at the Field Museum on taxonomy. We will definitely check out the cultural center. Thanks!

Here is the email I got - not sure why I go lucky: http://secularhomeschool.secondstree...1-4430ed824130
