Default May the Fourth - Star Wars Day

(Im sure we have had threads on this before, but I cant find them. )

Hilarious as this popped up on my Google calendar because some homeschooled child put it on there.

Nothing special planned, though I suppose we could see Episodes 2 and 3 which I have thusfar refused to view. Or the hacked one where they restored Episode 4 to the pre-CGI crapped up ones. (Film preservation preserves history) But...maybe we can find the un-crapped up one and watch it? that might be fun

Exactamundo, AM. I will have my DH look too as he's averse to malware and has figured out how to view stuff "out in the wild" like Harmy's Despecialized Edition. (AND fwiw there are diff editions of the despecialized ed. out there too!! so there must be a best-of of that somewhere? I am sure a bit of geeky research will find it.) and i am so glad I am not the only person who calls herself a fan of the star wars stuff who hasn't seen all the films

episode 3 is much better than 2. My favorite is still 6, but with the old ending, I still haven't gotten over them changing the ending of Return of the Jedi - it still makes me angry. Even changing the music, just awful. This is from the person who saw Return of the Jedi 12 times in the theater at age 12. Han Solo was my first movie crush.Last year we did a big May the 4th party - storm trooper marshmallows, light saber pretzels with chocolate sabers, han rolos, pin the tail on the bantha, corn hole with the death start as the hole. It was such a blast - can't muster it up for this year since we are moving too much other stressors.

The receptionist at DS therapy today said something about Revenge of the Sixth.... as another Star Wars day. Or maybe it was Revenge of the Fifth... but I dont want to give up Cinco de Mayo.
