Google Chrome Library Extension
If you aren't opposed to using Google Chrome as your web browser, they have a neat feature called Library Extension. It allows you to see directly on book-related pages (Amazon, Goodreads, AR Book Find, etc.) whether or not your local library has the book available for checkout.
Be in Google Chrome and go to https://www.libraryextension.com/
Click "Install on Chrome" to install on ChromeWhen I installed it, my local public library was not listed. I wrote them (link also on that main page ("Just let us know!")) and in about 2 weeks I received a direct email stating they'd set it up and to please test it for them.
After the extension has been installed, you'll see a little stack of books on the upper right corner of the Chrome page.
In Amazon, for example, once you search a book, and then select the book that matches, it will go to the screen with purchase options on the right hand side. My extension shows up directly above the shopping cart - it tells me how many copies are available of the hard copy as well as if any e-books are available. It links directly to your library's website and you can check the book out instantly!

This sounds great, thanks, I had not heard of it. They even do libraries in NZ. Did not have ours on there, but I have put in a request for it.
