Thread: US Geography

Does anyone know of a good spine for US geography? Not so much states, he did that this year but rivers, lakes, mountains.

I don't know the age of your child, but have you seen the Complete Book of Maps and Geography?

He's 9. I need to add a sig line. Keep forgetting. We have that book I havent used it much. Maybe i should look at it again. I would love a book with a story to guide us. Right now we are using Around the World in 80 Page as an introduction to countries. He loves doing it. We read the little bit on the country, find it on the map and globe and fill in a blank map tracking the trip.

My 9 year old also loves the games Name that Country and Brainbox The USA (lots of fun facts about the states). He loves anything and everything to do with geography, really. We don't use a curriculum though, but it sounds fun! I'll have to check that out for summer, possibly.
