Default Typing Program for high schooler?

    Hi All~
I had someone ask me and now I wanted to know too, if any of you have used a typing program for your high schoolers? We have used and loved both BBC typing and Learninggames4kids free typing games but are needing something more to be consider a high school credit
I personally have seen two other programs thru the Homeschool buyer's co-op(Type to Learn® 4 and Typing pal) lately but I didn't know if any of you had used any programs that you liked??

    Thanks

When my daughter was in middle school I got her Mavis Beacon and she was fine with it - it is, I think, the top-rated adult typing software - or at least it was when I got it.

Thanks Cara!! I will check into that! I was hoping for an "easy" credit for him since I am piling everything else on him this year! We are on a "break" right now which gives me enough time to research a little more!!

When sonny first learned to type (3rd grade) we started with a Spongebob typing game, advanced to Mavis Beacon (4th grade), and then finished with Typing of the Dead (5th grade). Sonny really enjoyed the last one. Based on House of the Dead but you type the letters that appear above the zombie's heads accurately and as fast as you can to destroy them before they get to you (we turned the gore off). He can really fly on the keyboard now! This last one would definitely be appropriate for a high schooler with or without the gore, it should compete with video games for his attention.
