Default Instant Pot - Pressure Cooker recipes?

Finally having some money, we bought an Instant Pot when it was on sale a few weeks ago. I find a lot of online recipes for using the IP, but not really any that cant be done alternately or better in the crock pot / stove / oven.

Do you guys have any recipes that really utilize the pressure cooking feature to get amazingly succulent meat? Or other things that IP does really well?

I've had my IP for awhile now, and I have to say, at the risk of internet stoning, it didn't magically change my life. I still prefer my slow cooker, even though it heats the house more than IP does. I do however love my IP for brown rice, because I don't have to babysit the pot on the stove. Most of my friends use the IP for shredded meat dishes (as in throw in frozen ckn breast with sauce - dinner in 30) or Mac and Cheese.

Im glad Im not the only one!

Itd be totally a life saver if you were living out of a hotel room, and didnt have any other cooking devices.

I will keep scouring published cookbooks for stuff that appeals. The internet is soooo hit or miss for me.

Sorry I don't know any recipes because we do not have one, but my mum mainly uses hers for large pieces of meat (like a whole chicken or a leg of ham). They seem to come out nice enough (I am not a fan of meat, so not the best to get an unbiased taste opinion from as it is all a bit yuck to me but I will eat it if it is cooked for me). It seems to be a lot quicker than the oven. I don't know if it is any better than the slow cooker.

Hi guys! It has been a while and I have been busy working hard to stay off the internet and read instead, but happened to wander by today and just wanted to add my 2 cents about the IP. I love the IP, it makes the best hard-boiled eggs I have ever had, they peel so easily and the inside is nice and yellow - not green. I also make a black bean refried recipe without having to soak the beans ahead and it tastes awesome! Finally quinoa made in the IP tastes better than any other quinoa I have ever made in any other way.

I have a friend who says this Mexican shredded chicken is good. Another friend who says this honey sriracha chicken works well in the IP (for 20 min fresh or 30 frozen) and makes yummy lettuce wraps.

    Default Pho Ga and others

We use ours quite a bit. Some things it makes better, some faster, and some just easier (no babysitting). This Pho Ga was made much faster/easier for me than other methods. I use a mix of that one and Nom Nom Paleo's.

I make broth regularly so it's a timesaver/smellsaver for me because I'll leave it outside to pressurize/depressurize. We've had success with ribs, kalua pork, roasts, etc. although other methods do most of those equally as well, the IP is often a time saver for us. We also batch cook, so we'll do something in the IPs while using the slow cooker for something else, oven or bbq for something else, etc. It saves me from spending hours upon hours every day cooking. Of course it also makes good rice, eggs, etc.

Chile Verde was OK, but not wonderful, iirc.
